Chillin’ In My B-Boy Stance

Breakdancing

Break dancing was a style of dancing that grew up around hip hop music during it’s early stages of development in the United States. ‘Break dancing’ stretched the human body to its limit.

While walking around Providence today I ventured over to the Brown University area and found myself on the always busy Thayer Street. As a I approach I see a group of people pop lockin and doing windmills on their heads. Local hip hop movement Project 401 brought the essence of hip hop to Thayer Street with Beat The Streets at Froyoworld. I was able to capture some shots while there.

Sky’s The Limit…Future Leaders

As I sit here looking over the photos that are currently on this post, I begin to hear the hook sung by 112 on the late great Notorious B.I.G. hit “Sky’s the Limit” in my head…

“Sky is the limit and you know that you keep on
Just keep on pressing on
Sky is the limit and you know that you can have
What you want, be what you want”
